In this sixth video of Rock Singing Basics we cover:

  • Compressed vs un/decompressed Grit, and combining for different grit types
  • Finding the easy note and expanding out over time (relax)
  • Isolating notes and alternating between pulse/fry and the note
  • As with singing, screams should be relaxed, and often quieter than singing
  • Fry screaming (Melissa Cross creaky door, back off grit, ramping)
  • Inhaled low screaming
  • Exhaled low screaming, larynx dampening and false/ventricular cord closure
