In this fourth video of Rock Singing Basics we cover:

  • Hydration (water takes time, alcohol and caffiene dry out, personal steam inhaler, small mister for live performances)
  • Vocalizations to warm up from zero (Melissa Cross F/V, B/P, S/Z, Th/th)
  • Tracking (hum while buzzing the lips)
  • Sirens (see “sing any note without effort” about bridging the voice)
  • Sliding Five-tone scales and fifths into mixed
  • Octaves and isolation into high mixed
  • Straw exercises (good for vocal recovery too)
